X-ray baggage scanner/ Security X-Ray inspection systems are vital components in border control, customs, correctional facilities like prison/youth correctional center, aviation security, and in protecting other critical infrastructures, public and private sectors. This technology detects contraband goods, narcotics, explosives, weapons, and smuggled goods in baggage, freight, and cargo.
Therefore, X-ray baggage scanner is widely used in airports, railway stations, bus stations, government buildings, embassies, conference centers, exhibition centers, hotels, shopping malls, large-scale activities, post offices, schools, logistics industry, military entrance, oil factory entrance, critical infrastructure entrance and other places security checking.
Then, how does a x-ray baggage scanner work?
After the luggage enters the channel, the light barrier signal will be blocked, and the detection signal will be sent to the control unit to trigger the X-ray source to emit X-ray beam. A very narrow fan-shaped X-ray beam passing through the collimator penetrates the luggage on the conveyor belt and lands on the dual energy detector.
The high-efficiency semiconductor detector receives the X-ray. These weak current signals are directly quantized and transmitted to the industrial control computer through universal serial bus for further processing. After complicated calculation and imaging processing, high-quality images are obtained.
