On June 23, with the last satellite of beidou-3 project rising up in Xichang Satellite Launch Base along with the launch vehicle, China's Beidou lit up the world's satellite navigation sky.
The official English name of the system is BeiDou Navigation Satellite System. It is named after the Big Dipper asterism, which is known in Chinese as Běidǒu (Chinese: 北斗). The name literally means "Northern Dipper", the name given by ancient Chinese astronomers to the seven brightest stars of the Ursa Major constellation. Historically, this set of stars was used in navigation to locate the North Star. As such, the name BeiDou also serves as a metaphor for the purpose of the satellite navigation system.

Space traveling wave tube is used for signal amplification of satellite to ground data transmission system and inter satellite link system. The millimeter wave Space TWT developed by the company has been applied to the development of Beidou navigation satellite and other band Space TWT products for the first time, which makes all delivered products have the same excellent technical indicators and good reliability level.
As the leader of L-band space traveling wave tube project, Su Yuansheng, after receiving the task, first of all, has to solve the problem of improving the reliability of the product. In order to solve the problem as soon as possible, he simply stayed on the site for a long time, carried out a lot of troubleshooting and tests, worked overtime and actively planned, and finally found a solution to the problem, ensuring the timely delivery of products to users.
As the core component of satellite communication system, satellite fixed amplifier has great technical difficulty and high reliability requirements. Improving the reliability of satellite fixed amplifier is the most important in the design of fixed amplifier.
It's very difficult for the scientific research of the project. They have accumulated a large number of theoretical data and related algorithms in the library and database day and night, which laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project. The project construction time is tight, so they fight hard in the laboratory and assembly workshop to catch up with the progress of the project as much as possible.
